Bladel, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands

Sun, Sep 7, 2025 (Europe/Amsterdam)

A fire broke out late Saturday evening at Vissers Mechanisatie, an agricultural machinery company on Rond Deel in Bladel, causing significant damage to the building, authorities said.
According to Omroep Brabant, the blaze was reported around 11:30 p.m. and was initially described as a large, spreading fire, though most of the visible effect was heavy smoke.
Inside one of the company’s halls, a crane caught fire, igniting a skylight and allowing smoke to escape. The fire and smoke caused substantial damage throughout the structure.
Firefighters quickly scaled up their response and deployed multiple units, including three fire engines, and established a water transport system to ensure stable water supply.
By 12:30 a.m., the fire was brought under control, though crews remained on site for mopping up, during which smoke continued to be released. Authorities advised nearby residents to keep doors and windows closed if affected by smoke. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and no injuries were reported.
