Fire crews from Worcestershire and Warwickshire were called to the scene on Stratford Road, where the building was found on fire shortly before 5.30pm on Sunday (September 7).Firefighters from Evesham and Pebworth fought the fire for several hours, alongside an incident command unit from Malvern and an environmental support unit from Tenbury Wells, as well as Warwickshire fire crews from Alcester and Stratford. The building had been used to store wood.A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "An agricultural building, around 15m by 5m, used for wood storage was 100 per cent involved in fire."A 3,000 litre oil tank was also involved."The fire was extinguished using three hose reel jets, one main jet and foam.<br />"There were no casualties and no other emergency services were required. The incident was marked as pending closure at 9.49pm but a reinspection took place at 11.50pm, with one thermal imaging camera used to check for hotspots."One was dampened down before the incident was closed at 2.04am."
