In Hamburg, four cars burned down overnight under suspicious circumstances, including the vehicle of an AfD deputy; law enforcement is conducting an investigation. On the night from Sunday to Monday, November 3, a fire broke out in the Altona district of Hamburg, destroying several cars. The flames engulfed four vehicles, three of which were completely burned out, and the fourth sustained serious damage.Among the burned cars was the vehicle of Bernd Baumann, one of the leaders of the parliamentary faction of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party. This was reported by Kerstin Przygodda, a member of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party.<br />"The car of the first parliamentary secretary of our parliamentary group, Dr. Bernd Baumann, was set on fire in front of his home," the AfD politician said.As krone.at specifies, around 5 a.m. Baumann was awakened by state security officers who informed him about the incident. The politician's address was made publicly available shortly before the attack — it was published on one of the radical left-wing websites, presumably linked to the Antifa movement. The Hamburg police are treating the incident as deliberate arson. The case has already been handed over to the Office for the Protection of the Constitution — the agency responsible for the country's internal security.Investigators are examining the possibility of a politically motivated attack, considering Baumann's affiliation with the AfD party.AfD Bundestag member Kerstin Przygodda reacted strongly to the incident. In her statement, she emphasized that this is not a random act of vandalism but a "targeted attack that has become a hallmark of left-wing radical extremism.""As shown by the recent Molotov cocktail attack in the Swabian Alps, Antifa is moving from graffiti to incendiary bombs," the politician wrote in her post on the social network X.Earlier in Erding, Germany, during exercises, a shootout occurred between police and Bundeswehr soldiers, resulting in a soldier being injured.
